二、Brief introduction

Department of Psychology, School of Public Administration, SCU founded in 2005.Early in 1954, the psychology teaching and research of Zhang Shaoying and DuanHechu in department of philosophy have laid the foundation of department of psychology.

There are three directions (Psychoanalysis and psychotherapy，Management Psychology and Social Psychology， Art Psychology) and 6 master instructors（professor Chen Changwen、professor Zhang Wei、professor Song Shaofeng、professor Gong Qiyong、associate professor Liu Yan、Doctor Tang Xiaorong） in applied psychology of Sichuan university. In particular, Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy direction lines for domestic only, it also enjoys high prestige in the international psychology area.

Applied Psychology based on the basic system and grasp the theory of psychology， but also focus on the application of specific practical ability. The department of psychology has usually invited human health experts, European experts psychoanalysis, counseling experts to give lectures in our school. In addition, we often organize various academic activities. We have formed a "Sichuan University psychological assistance team" to Sichuan Women's Forced Labor Camp for psychological assistance, psychological study of immigrants went to Yibin reservoir, go west Ethnic Regions religious psychology and social mood research, and we have also transported a number of excellent counseling volunteers to psychology and research institutions. In 5.12 wenchuan earthquake, a large number of professional psychology teachers and students devoted to the earthquake-stricken area in sichuan psychological aid work.

In knowledge, globalization, electronic information age, three directions of our psychology department have advantage of strong empirical and reality and it gives a high degree of attention to modern society social psychology, organization behavior and mental health, etc. thus there are broad prospect for development and employment prospects. In the past two years, the graduate employment situation of applied psychology is good, on the one hand, teaching and taking researching in university about sociology and psychology. On the other hand, hired by government, social organization, modern enterprise, etc. to work in specific practice.
