The School of Public Administration (SPA) of Sichuan University (SCU) was founded in June 2001 for realizing interdisciplinary and complementary advantages. Since its establishment, SPA adheres to SCU’s spirit: “Sea, all water, receives all rivers; utmost wit listens to all sides", SCU's philosophy of “Precision, diligence, truth-seeking and innovation”，as well as the motto of “The world is equally shared by all and governed by laws”. Relying on the comprehensive advantages of SCU, SPA has set the goal of serving the society, meeting the social demands and promoting social development by cultivating high-caliber, interdisciplinary and applied talents, and providing high-quality education, training and consulting services in public administration.

SPA now has nine undergraduate programs, 16 master programs, two doctoral programs, one post-doctoral research station and four professional master programs. In recent years, SPA has made great achievements in teaching and academic research. Our students have gained many excellent awards in a series of national competitions, such as the “Challenge Cup” Entrepreneurial Design Competition, National College Students' English Ability Competition and “Model United Nations". Amid its frequent international academic exchanges and cooperation in discipline construction, academic research, personnel training and social service, SPA has partnered with the peers from all over the world, including the United States, Britain, Germany, France, Canada, Australia, Japan, and so on.
