In the afternoon of March 24, 2017, Daniel Abramson, University of Washington (Daniel Abramson) academic lecture, "the long-term social ecological resilience of Dujiangyan irrigated area and Its Enlightenment on land policy, village planning and community governance" (Long-term Social-Ecological Resilience in the Dujiangyan Irrigation District: Implications for) Land Policy, Settlement Planning, and Community Governance) was successfully held at the school of public administration 214. Professor Liu Runqiu first gave the opening speech, and he warmly welcomed the arrival of Professor Ai Dan, and briefly introduced professor Ai Dan. Associate professor Aidan is a Bachelor of history in Harvard University, a master of architecture and urban planning in Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a doctoral candidate in urban planning in Tsinghua University. Since 2001, vice professor Aidan has been teaching at the University of Washington in Seattle. Now it is the associate professor of the Department of urban planning and design, the Department of architecture and the Department of landscape architecture. At the same time, as the first American doctorate in mainland China, vice professor Aidan has been engaged in cross-cultural planning practice and research in mainland China for a long time. The research includes the design of urban and rural residential environment, the protection of historical and cultural heritage, community planning, disaster mitigation and recovery, etc., which he presided or participated in. Including 1999-2004 years of Fujian Quanzhou historical and cultural city community participation in the planning, 2005-2009 years to participate in the creation of the International China City Planning Institute and the board of directors and secretary general, after the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake, the Qiang historical and cultural villages after the earthquake recovery. After 2012, Professor Aidan became visiting professor of Sichuan University.
